WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU GET TO THE MEET
Warm-ups: 7:30 a.m ~~~ Meet Start: 8:30
- Arrive before scheduled warm-up time. Find where CSC area is and “camp-out,” (set up your chairs, blankets, coolers, umbrella, etc.)
- Have swimmer(s) report to the Head Coach and check in for the meet. (If your swimmer doesn't check in with the coach prior to the meet starting, they could be scratched from their events.)
- Follow the coach’s directions and participate in warm-ups.
- Check what events your swimmer is swimming, either from information sent out before the meet or posted at the meet. (At home, they will be posted near the concession stand.)
- At the conclusion of warm-ups, write the event & heat number of each event your swimmer will swim with your Sharpie on your swimmer’s hand or arm. (This will help your swimmer know exactly what they are swimming and when they should head to the bullpen.)
- Pay attention to the current event number being announced by the meet starter and bullpen helpers. Make sure your swimmer is in the bullpen prior to his/her event. Therefore, swimmers must stay where they can hear announcements from the bullpen. **If you have a young swimmer and you are timing or helping with the meet in any way, ask another parent to ensure that your child gets to the bullpen for his/her event(s). Swimmers must report to the bullpen on time or they will miss their event.
- Check with the CSC board members to see if we need helpers for the meet. (In order for any meet (home or away) to run smoothly, we need many helpers which include timers, officials, card runners, starter, bull pen helpers, ribbon writers, computer data entry, concessions, set-up and clean-up.)
